I saw the movie Dance With Me when it came out in the theaters (August 1998); I thought "nice movie, handsome young man".

In January 1999, I rented the video and it was if something reached out of my TV as I watched the video and made a copy for my collection and grabbed me and I've been addicted/obsessed/whatever ever since. I then, proceeded to watch it everyday, for many months (sometimes, twice a day).

In March, our cable company added a Spanish channel, and for the first time, I saw Chayanne, and not Rafael. I taped everything I could find of him. It wasn't until May or June, that I realized I still knew nothing about Chayanne, and I went searching online, and found my way to "Solamente Tu Amor" (the former name of Chayfans.org) and the rest is history!
